Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the role of teachers in improving student learning outcomes during the Covid 19 pandemic for the fifth grade of SD Inpres 1 Toboli. The research used in this research is descriptive. Based on the results of the study, the teacher was able to explain and answer questions asked by students during the teaching and learning process during the covid-19 pandemic, from the analysis it was shown that there were still some students who did not feel that the teacher made variations in the teaching and learning process, so the teacher had to improve more variations in carrying out the teaching and learning process. The teacher's role is very necessary in motivating students to obtain optimal results. This is based on a questionnaire analysis that of the 25 students who stated that the teacher always provides variations in interacting, were 7 students or (28%), which stated often 10 students or (40%), which stated sometimes 6 students or (24%), and those who stated that there were never 2 students or (8%). Thus, it is concluded that the role of the teacher in improving student learning outcomes during the Covid 19 pandemic for Class V SD Inpres 1 Toboli is very important.
